I have always been a fitness person, but it wasn’t until I had a recent health reality check that I realized I was no longer fit.
Since I had my second child 17 years ago, I have struggled with finding time to workout, being disciplined on food, and having an overall consistent view about healthy living.
I have tried Fat Flush, Weight Watchers and Isagenix, along with many exercise routines. All of them work, but none of them stuck. Somehow my travel, work, and kid schedules got in the way of my schedule.
That’s okay, but now I’m 49 years old, have high blood pressure, pre-diabetes and long-running high cholesterol. All are being controlled by medicine but that’s not success to me. It’s time to take back my health and my body by figuring out what is going to work long term for me.
So here we are, with the IB Get Fit Challenge. I would normally never do something this personal that also required me to be so public; however, sharing this with two great friends makes something hard — and maybe a bit embarrassing — easier. I guess we all need help and support to reach our goals.
Meet all of the competitors here and see who wins at the In Business Expo & Conference.
