QBE North America lays off 59 in Sun Prairie

Australia-based QBE North America, a property and casualty insurance provider, trimmed its Sun Prairie staff by 59 as part of a corporate restructuring. The local cuts were part of a larger corporate layoff of 320 IT positions at 13 locations nationwide. The company plans to outsource its IT services. The move leaves the company with 781 employees in Sun Prairie, which remains the company’s largest of 140 offices nationwide.
