Potawatomi to build $80M hotel tower

A 19-story hotel tower will be added to the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino in the Menomonee Valley in downtown Milwaukee and is expected to create about 50 new hotel jobs.

The $80 million addition will have 119 rooms and suites and is expected to open in the spring of 2019, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

The original $97.5 million tower was built in 2014 and has 381 rooms.

The Forest County Potawatomi Community owns the hotel and casino, which in its entirety employs about 2,700 workers.
