Police investigating homicide outside of eastside business 

According to Channel 3000, Madison police are looking into a homicide that occurred on the city’s east side Sunday morning. 

The incident took place on the 3700 block of East Washington Avenue around 1:40 a.m. and appeared to stem from a fight in the parking lot of Lush Lounge, which was hosting a private event. 

Police were en route when gunfire broke out and a 32-year-old man was shot. He was taken to a local hospital and died of his injuries. The Violent Crimes Unit is part of the ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to come forward.
