Overture: Thanks, Disney!

Madison’s Overture Center for the Arts received a $100,000 grant from Disney to launch the Disney Musicals in Schools program in the next school year.

The after-school program will introduce more elementary school children from under-resourced schools to theatrical careers and performance.

The grant will fund two years of programming at five qualifying schools per year. Students will learn all aspects of theater and take part in a 30-minute musical at the end of the 17-week program.
