Orbitec lands NASA deal

Orbitec of Madison has received a $3 million, one-year contract with NASA to develop a special greenhouse designed to grow plants in space. The greenhouse will be about the size of four microwave ovens, according to reports. This month, another product designed by Orbitec, a simpler plant-growing system, will be sent up to the International Space Station.
