Old National announces $1M in donations in the wake of Louisville tragedy
In a Monday news release, Old National Bancorp announced $1 million in total donations in response to the tragic April 10 event at its downtown Louisville, Kentucky location. Over half of that total will be used to provide additional support and care for those impacted, while the remaining gifts demonstrate Old National’s gratitude to the entire community and the many heroes who emerged.
The donation distribution is as follows:
- $600,000 — “Love for Louisville Old National Survivors Fund”;
- $150,000 — Louisville Metro Police Foundation (supporting Officer Nickolas Wilt);
- $150,000 — University of Louisville Hospital Trauma Center; and
- $100,000 — American Red Cross.
The “Love for Louisville Old National Survivors Fund” directly benefits Old National team members and their families who were victims of the attack. This newly established fund will be managed by the Community Foundation of Louisville in partnership with the National Compassion Fund (NCF). All donations collected will go to those impacted. All funds donated will be distributed to the families of the deceased victims, to injured survivors, and to the care of those who were present and experienced psychological trauma.
Old National has 11 branch locations in Dane County.
