Olbrich bond sale fails to meet goal

A plan to allow the public to help fund a planned expansion of Olbrich Gardens in Madison by selling public bonds in increments of $500 has fallen short.

According to a Wisconsin State Journal update, only 41% of the bonds were purchased, raising $876,000. The goal was $2.1 million.

The unsold bonds now go into the city’s 2019 general obligation debt bond issuance, according to the report.
