Ohio company acquires Superkids Reading Program

Zaner-Bloser, an Ohio-based educational publisher, has acquired the Superkids Reading Program from the Madison-based Rowland Reading Foundation. Terms were not disclosed.

According to a release, the Superkids program, for students in kindergarten to second grade, is a phonics-based literacy curriculum integrating reading with writing, spelling, and grammar. Pleasant Rowland, creator of American Girl, wrote the curriculum. Zaner-Bloser is a wholly owned subsidiary of Highlights for Children Inc.
