No charges yet in injured newborn case

Six months after suspending a nurse suspected of injuring five newborns while in the neonatal intensive care unit at Meriter Hospital, criminal charges have yet to be filed and the Madison Police have turned the case over to the District Attorney Ismael Ozanne’s office, according to a Wisconsin State Journal article.

The hospital suspended the nurse in February and the Board of Nursing suspended the nurse’s license in March while the complex investigation continues.
