Nitty Gritty celebrates post-fire reno completion with Paul Davis Restoration, first responders
The owners of Madison downtown restaurant The Nitty Gritty are holding a private event today with first responders and tradespeople in celebration of the completion of restaurant renovations that followed a November bar fire, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
The grand reopening will be held in partnership with Paul Davis Restoration employees who worked on the project as well as firefighters and fire department officials.
While the restaurant reopened for business just five weeks after the fire, the last of the work was completed yesterday. The total cost of the fire was around $1 million, about 75% of which was covered by insurance, but which also forced many upgrades and improvements.
