New 'self' storage concept comes to Madison
Doorage, a Chicago-based startup company offering a new concept in self-storage, opened in both Madison and Milwaukee in March.
According to a Wisconsin State Journal story, Doorage rents by the cubic-foot, allowing customers to pay only for the space they use, from a one cubic foot box to a piano or even a vehicle. Items are stored on racks and all are tracked electronically in a warehouse that a renter will never see because the company provides pickup and delivery service.
Warehouse locations are not disclosed for security reasons.
