New Microtel Inn considered near Beltline
A new Microtel Inn is being considered for 2810 Coho St. near the intersection of Fish Hatchery Road and the Beltline.
If approved, it would create 25 to 30 full-time jobs, include 112 rooms, a hotel café, and shuttle services.
City staff has some concerns about the proposed five-story hotel’s design and has recommended that it be referred to the Urban Design Commission.
The project is a joint effort between Wyndham Worldwide and Everbest Commercial Development LLC, and hopes are that construction on the $8 million, 57,000-square-foot hotel could be completed by the end of 2018, according to The Capital Times.
