New Madison bus depot may be in the works

Madison has been without a bus depot since 2009, when the Badger Bus Depot at 2 S. Bedford St. came down to make way for apartments and retail. Now, The Boldt Co. is floating the idea of demolishing a building just down the street on land it owns at 114 N. Bedford in order to build an eight-story structure that would include apartments, retail, and parking and serve as a transit center for Greyhound and other intercity buses. The idea is preliminary, and neighborhoods still need to weigh in.
