New bloggers bring new perspectives
From the pages of In Business magazine.
We recently revamped our blogging lineup at IBMadison.com, and this is a good time to update IB readers on two new bloggers who will bring their industry knowledge and insight to our online readers, as well as a brand new format for one of our longstanding blogs.
Let me begin by introducing the two new bloggers who have already started posting on IBMadison.com.
First, Spencer Smith will fill a growing need in our blogging lineup for a social media expert with his blog titled “#SocialBiz.” Spencer, who founded his own marketing consulting firm, has quickly become one of the brightest minds in this region in helping companies of all sizes achieve results with their digital marketing and social media efforts, and he is not afraid to share his knowledge on these increasingly important marketing topics.
IB has presented numerous seminars on social media topics and they continue to be among the most popular subjects that we cover, so adding a local expert is a welcome addition.
Our second new blog revolves around another vital business topic — employment law. Jessica M. Kramer is a partner at Kramer, Elkins & Watt LLC who specializes in employment law cases for both businesses and individuals. With her blog titled “Law at Work,” she will go in depth on important new rulings in employment law that all companies and individuals will need to stay on top of. Employment laws and regulations are constantly changing, and Jessica will be a great resource to help employers stay up to date.
Finally, I’m excited to announce a brand new format for Donna Gray, author of “The Gray Area” and one of our longest-running and most popular bloggers. Many recognize Donna as the owner and president of Total Awards & Promotions/AwardsMall.com, and with her new blog she’ll continue to tap into her lifetime of experience to provide insight on business issues. Think of it as “Dear Abby” for business. If you have a business-related question, email Online Editor Jason Busch at jason@ibmadison.com with the subject “The Gray Area,” and we’ll have Donna and her extensive network of business experts tackle it for you.
