More student housing proposed for Bassett neighborhood

The Keller Real Estate Group wants to erect a $2.5 million apartment unit at the corner of West Main and Bassett streets. The four-story, 18-unit structure would target students and offer first-floor commercial space and studios and one-bedroom apartments above, but no attached parking. To accommodate the proposed project, a commercial building at 502 W. Main St. and an older rental house next door would have to be razed. Daffodil Parker Floral Designers, currently at 502 W. Main St.,  would move to another Keller property location at 544 W. Washington Ave.
