More players commit to AmFam Champ

Darren Clarke, Retief Goosen, Colin Montgomerie, and Vijay Singh have recently committed to playing the 2022 American Family Insurance Championship (AmFam Champ) June 10–12 at University Ridge Golf Course, according to a release from American Family Insurance. Darren Clarke, of Northern Ireland, has three PGA TOUR Champions wins, all during the 2020–21 season. Retief Goosen, of South Africa, has recorded two top-five finishes in two appearances. Colin Montgomerie, of Scotland, finished in a tie for third at the 2018 AmFam Champ and has seven PGA TOUR Champions titles, including three majors, along with 42 international wins. Vijay Singh, of Fiji, has 34 wins on the PGA TOUR, including major victories at the Masters and PGA Championship. These players will join tournament player-host Steve Stricker, and other players including Jerry Kelly, Bernhard Langer, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Kirk Triplett, and Scott McCarron.

The AmFam Champ debuted in 2016 and has raised $12.6 million for charity, with proceeds distributed by the Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation to American Family Children’s Hospital and other nonprofit organizations.
