More mixed-use developments proposed for Cap East District
Two mixed-used developments are the latest projects being proposed for the Capitol East District, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
T. Wall Enterprises and JLA Architects & Planners are proposing the Livingston Lofts, a four-story, 189-unit project on the corner of East Livingston and Mifflin streets.
In addition, McGrath Property Group, JLA, and SAA Design Group have proposed the Few Street Lofts, a four-story, 76-unit building at East Washington Avenue and Few Street that would offer some ground-level commercial space. The proposed development would include the repurposing of an old Quonset hut that’s been on the site for years. Two East Washington used car dealerships would also be razed.
The city’s Urban Design Commission will consider both projects on Jan. 28.
Meanwhile, the State Journal reports the Ho-Chunk Nation is looking to consolidate multiple rental offices throughout the county into a new 17,000-square-foot branch office at 4724 Tradewinds Parkway, near Ho-Chunk Gaming Madison. Bauer & Raether Builders and Eppstein Uhen Architects are proposing the project.
