Monona Waterfront Design Challenge public events announced
The Madison community is invited to attend the public event series for the Lake Monona Waterfront Design Challenge hosted by Madison Parks, according to a statement from the city. The event series is an opportunity for the public to learn more about the design challenge, the selected teams, their progress in plan development, and the final master plan proposals. Each event will be held in person and also streamed to the Madison City Channel for remote viewing. The schedule of events is:
Design Challenge Kick-Off
Monday, Oct. 3, at 6 p.m., at the Madison Central Library, 201 W. Mifflin St.
Design teams will livestream the event and introduce themselves and their team’s unique perspective on master plan development.
Design Challenge Check-In
Monday, Nov. 7, at 6 p.m., at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center, 1 John Nolen Drive
Design teams will virtually present initial thoughts and concepts in developing a master plan vision for the Lake Monona Waterfront.
Design Challenge Master Plan Presentations
Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023, at 6 p.m., at Olin Park Center, 330 E. Lakeside St.
Design teams will present in person their proposed master plan for the Lake Monona Waterfront.
