Monona riverfront planning resumes

On March 28, the Community Development Authority will vote on whether the city of Monona should enter into a three-phase, mixed-use development agreement with Galway Companies Inc. for the Yahara Riverfront redevelopment project. Monona’s City Council would vote at a later date.

Plans call for phase I (completed by Dec. 31, 2018) to include a five-story apartment building with at least 73 market-rate apartments plus 26,000 square feet of commercial/retail/office/public space. Phase II (completed by Dec. 31, 2021) includes 160 market-rate apartments and/or independent market rate senior housing units. Phase III consists of an office/retail building that is at least 33,600 square feet and should be completed no later than Dec. 31, 2022.
