Monona approves luxury apartment complex along Yahara River

The Monona Plan Commission approved plans from Treysta Group, LLC, for Treysta on the Water, a luxury apartment complex with restaurants and retail. The $17 million development will be built on the five-acre site of the former Hickory Lane Mobile Home Park along the Yahara River, on West Broadway. The four-story development will include 121 apartments, restaurants, and retail. Residents will have access to a 24-hour concierge service offering shopping services or pet care. Boat slips for tenants and the public will also be available. A late 2013 opening date is planned.

The city of Monona will spend $300,000 for eight boat slips, a boardwalk, and new entrance drive, and about $350,000 for restrooms and some paved lots. It also created a TIF district to divert $1.5 million in property taxes to help the developer remedy wet soil issues, upgrade utilities, and create underground parking.
