Middleton selected for psych hospital

Strategic Behavioral Health of Tennessee, a growing, for-profit company with hospitals across the country, has chosen to build its next facility in Middleton.

According to an article in the Wisconsin State Journal, the company is asking the city for $1.2 million in assistance so it can build a 72-bed, $17 million to $20 million hospital on a seven-acre site at 3169 Deming Way.

Shovels could hit the dirt this summer. The company announced its intentions in December, reporting interest in building either in Middleton or Madison.
