Middleton Plan Commission approves of hotel, wants safety addressed

The early impressions are favorable for the proposed Towneplace Suites by Marriott, but construction of the 87-unit, extended-stay hotel at 3055 Deming Way will have to wait until safety concerns are addressed, according to an article in the Middleton-Cross Plains Times Tribune.

The Middleton Plan Commission did not formally approve the concept because of those safety concerns, which were raised by city staff, but there is strong support for the hotel if those concerns are addressed. The safety concerns are related to the amount of impervious surface on the site, which would include 88 parking spaces, plus access to the site and orientation to the street.
