Michael’s Frozen Custard on Schroeder Road demolished to make way for apartment building 

The former Michael’s Frozen Custard on Schroeder Road was demolished last week, followed on Monday by the building that housed La Nopalera, according to an article from the Wisconsin State Journal. The demolition makes way for a new project to be constructed by JD McCormick Properties. 

The new building will be an L-shaped, four-story building with 84 multifamily housing units, and the property is set to include 71 underground parking spaces, a 39-space surface lot, and 91 bicycle spots. Construction on the apartment building is scheduled to begin this spring and be completed in 2024.   

The Michael’s Frozen Custard on Atwood Avenue remains open.
