MC Sports closing in Madison

The MC Sports store located between Home Depot and Staples at Verona Road and the Beltline will soon be shutting its doors for good.

An original tenant of the revamped Nakoma Plaza, the Wisconsin State Journal reports the sporting goods retailer will begin a going-out-of-business sale this Thursday with a target closing date by the end of May.

Michigan-based MC Sports operated for 16 years in the Madison market. The 31,000 square-foot Madison store employs 12 people.
