Marquette poll: Evers, Baldwin lead races

Democrat Tony Evers has opened up a five point lead, 49%–44%, over Republican Gov. Scott Walker in today’s Marquette University Law School Poll, and incumbent U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin has widened her lead over Republican challenger Leah Vukmir to 53%–42%.

Both polls reflect the views of likely voters, and both results show significant movement toward the Democrats. Evers and Walker were tied at 46% in MU’s Aug. 22 poll, while Baldwin only led Vukmir by two points last month.

In the state attorney general’s race, Republican incumbent Brad Schimel now leads Democratic challenger Josh Kaul, 48% to 41%.

The mid-term election will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
