Madison startup nabs funding for mixing device that aids construction, manufacturing

Madison-based Xemex Static Mixer has raised $250,000 in equity financing to support the startup’s development of a nozzle that mixes two-part adhesives and will allow customers to significantly cut the volume of wasted adhesives.

The funding round could reach $500,000.

Eric Ronning, co-founder and CEO says its disposable device, which has no moving parts, will benefit people in the construction industry, as well as manufacturers selling to medical and dental care providers, according to Xconomy.com.

Xemex plans to use the proceeds for research and development, as well as working capital.
