Madison remains a good fit for Crossfit Games

Greater Madison will continue to host the Crossfit Games through 2021, according to a joint announcement from the Crossfit Games, Madison Area Sports Commission, and Dane County.

In 2017, the event’s first year in Madison, the event attracted 70,000 people and injected more than $12 million into the local economy, according to Dane County Executive Joe Parisi in a Wisconsin State Journal report.

The 2018 games are scheduled for Aug. 1–5 on the Alliant Energy Center grounds and other places around Greater Madison. The annual Crossfit Games are in their 12th year.
