Madison ranked No. 8 best city for hybrid workers

A recent study from CommercialSearch evaluated data on more than 70 U.S. cities and ranks Madison the 8th-best city for hybrid workers. The study compared cities across several relevant indicators — hybrid jobs on the local employment market, the coworking scene, broadband coverage, housing affordability, and quality of life — to identify and rank the 20 best U.S. cities for hybrid workers.

Madison took top score for the shortest travel time to work among the cities on the list, with residents here reporting that they spent an average of 19 minutes traveling to work. Additionally, among the entries in the top 20, Madison recorded the lowest unemployment rate at 3.2%. Having reached a high-speed internet coverage of nearly 57% in 2022, Madison ranked 3rd-best for this metric among the top 20 entries in the ranking.
