Madison ranked fourth-best college town for finding a job

Two Wisconsin cities are ranked in ZipRecruiter’s Top 5 Best College Towns to Find Jobs. Madison ranked number four, while Green Bay (UW-Green Bay) came in at number five.

The online job recruitment website first looked at MSAs (metropolitan statistical areas) with unemployment rates under the U.S. national average and narrowed the field to the top 100 by market size. It then calculated the ratio of job applicants to open positions and ranked the towns according to the level of competition.

Fargo (North Dakota State University) took the top spot, followed by Boise (Boise State University) and Fort Collins, Colo. (Colorado State University).
