Madison man who invaded privacy in grocery store, mall remains jailed

Kamirio Sterling, 31, remains in custody, charged with misdemeanor invasion of privacy in a public space after authorities say he invaded the privacy of women on at least three different occasions, according to WKOW. The alleged offenses took place at a mall and a grocery store. Bail has been set at $200.

Authorities stated that last Tuesday, Sterling entered the women’s bathroom of a Woodman’s grocery store on Milwaukee Street in Madison and peered at a woman from an adjoining stall. Sterling told investigators he also went into the same women’s bathroom on Saturday.

Sterling is not eligible to post bond until he appears in court this week for another criminal case, in which he entered a women’s bathroom at East Towne Mall in December and tried to watch two different women in the space.

In October, Sterling was charged with lewd and lascivious behavior after exposing himself to a woman and attempting to force his way into her apartment.

An arrest warrant for missing a court date was sent out for Sterling at the time authorities say he committed the offense at the Woodman’s store.
