Madison Games Alliance changes its name
To better reflect the organization’s statewide reach, the Madison Games Alliance is becoming the Wisconsin Games Alliance.
The name change comes at a time when the Madison Region Economic Partnership, the organizer of the games alliance, and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. are working to get the new WGA designated as a center of excellence. The alliance has more than 200 active participants representing game studios, independent developers, and investors.
Meanwhile, MadREP is developing Wisconsin’s first ever game development conference, which will be launched sometime this week. The event will draw game developers from throughout the Midwest.
