Madison Fresh Market owner plans store in Milwaukee

The lure of 310 newly constructed apartments and an estimated 1,000 nearby Foxconn employees has compelled Jeff Maurer, owner of Madison Fresh Market, to open an urban store in Milwaukee, according to a report in the Wisconsin State Journal.

The 10,500-square-foot store will be on the ground floor of the 7SEVENTY7 apartment tower at 777 N. Van Buren St. and feature a “grab-and-go” service model.

Unlike the Madison store, which caters to University of Wisconsin–Madison students, the downtown Milwaukee store will serve professionals who work in downtown Milwaukee, including high-income residents of the apartment building.
