Madison featured on upcoming episode of PBS’ ‘Places to Love’

A sixth-season episode of the PBS series Places to Love with Samantha Brown focuses on Madison and all it has to offer.

During the episode, which airs on Jan. 20, Brown tours the Wisconsin State Capitol and the University of Wisconsin–Madison campus, tastes some cheese and mustard, and learns about curling with local Olympian Becca Hamilton.

The episode premiered last week during a special gathering at Garver Feed Mill. “For Madison to be part of [the] new season is very exciting for all of us,” said Ellie Westman Chin, the president and CEO of Destination Madison. “Recovering from the pandemic and tourism isn’t all the way back to where we would like it to be, so this is really going to help with our recovery, telling folks and showing visitors why they should make Madison part of their destination plans this summer.”
