Madison event space, The Brink Lounge, announces impending closure

The Brink Lounge, a 12,000-square-foot event space at 701 E. Washington Ave., is closing on April 30 after 17 years, the Wisconsin State Journal announced. The decision follows the loss of the event space manager as well as other staffing issues.

Owner and developer Curt Brink has indicated the closure could be temporary while new staffing is established but has also acknowledged ongoing obstacles for the service industry in the post-pandemic era. Summer weddings and other events currently booked at the venue present an additional challenge that is being dealt with currently.

The High Noon Saloon and The Brass Ring, two other businesses in the same development as The Brink Lounge, will continue to operate as usual.
