Madison College eyes $18M sports complex
Madison College would like to develop an $18 million sports complex on property the school currently leases from the Dane County Regional Airport. If the plan is approved, four new softball fields, a baseball field, and a soccer field would replace dilapidated tennis courts and baseball, softball, and soccer fields. The proposed complex would serve as a practice field for Madison College’s soccer teams and could also be used by East and La Follette high schools for their regional sporting events.
Apparently, the Goodman Foundation approached Madison College about the idea last spring. Now, neighborhood residents are weighing in.
