MABA celebrates 75 years

To celebrate its 75th anniversary, the Madison Area Builders Association (MABA) invited members of the past and present to a celebration on July 21. The event featured an Association Anniversary Awards segment honoring members who have dedicated their time and energy to the association over the years as well as played a central role in the association’s long history of networking, education, and advocacy in the industry. The awards were presented as follows:

  • Advocate Award — Angie Kieta, LP Building Solutions
  • Defender of Housing Award — Robert Procter, Axley Attorneys
  • Greatest Spike Award — Terry Monson, Monson Construction
  • Industry Excellence Award — Ed Hoksbergen, Encore Homes
  • Innovator Award — Don Tierney, Livable Communities by Don Tierney
  • Rising Star Award — Keith Batenhorst, Drexel Building Supply
  • Recognition of Significant Impact — Barbara Slack, Slack Attack Communications
  • Recognition of Significant Impact — Pete “Pistol” Stebbins, Fairway Independent Mortgage Corp.
  • Lifetime Achievement Award — Chuck Elliott, CLE Consulting
