Lower cost increases have more Wisconsinites signing up for Obamacare

A report from Citizen Action of Wisconsin reports the cost of health care in Wisconsin slowing “dramatically,” according to a story in The Capital Times.

The report found that costs increased seven times faster in the 13 years preceding enactment, compared to the four years since. Large group health insurance rates, the report states, rose an average of 15% a year before the Affordable Care Act took hold, and just 2% a year since.

Meanwhile, about 174,000 Wisconsinites have signed up for health insurance through the Affordable Care Act, compared to 153,000 at the same time last year.
