Loop the Lake returns June 17 

Madison’s Loop the Lake event will return June 17 this year, according to NBC15. The biking event, which started in 2012, takes riders around Lake Monona, starting and ending in Olbrich Park. 

The course will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. An honorary start will occur at 9 a.m. Stops along the way will provide food and drink. Stops besides Olbrich Park include Schluter Park, Off Broadway Drafthouse, Olin Park, and B.B. Clarke Beach. 

Online registration is open until June 15; on-site registration will be available at Olbrich Park the morning of the ride. 

Additionally, the Clean Lakes Alliance is seeking volunteers to assist with handing out shirts to registered bikers, providing directions, and distributing water at the event. Those interested are encouraged to email info@cleanlakesalliance.org.
