Longtime State Street bike shop to pull up stakes

A full-service bike shop that has called State Street its home for nearly 40 years is moving to the village of Arlington. Yellow Jersey, which relocated to 419 State St. in 1974, will maintain a brick-and-mortar presence in a 2,200-sq.-ft. former bank building in Arlington but will begin to devote more attention to its online sales operation, which now accounts for a majority of the business’s revenue. The State Street store will close on Sept. 30 and the Arlington location will open on Oct. 1.
