Lola’s Hi/Lo Lounge to open on Sherman Ave. this fall

A new 60s-inspired restaurant, Lola’s Hi/Lo Lounge, is set to open this September in Madison, according to the Capital Times. The restaurant will be owned by Ancora Café owner Tori Gerding, her husband Matt Gerding, and Cadre chef and owner Evan Dannells.

Set to open at 617 N. Sherman Ave., Lola’s is the third business to announce plans to occupy the former Jacobson Bros. Meats and Deli space. Within 3,200 square feet, the plan for the space would seat 95 inside and 18 on a seasonal sidewalk patio.

Lola’s owners have also annexed the space next door, a former shoe repair shop. This area would primarily house cocktail seating but has the potential to become a private event space.

Estimated hours for Lola’s are Sunday–Thursday from 3 p.m. to midnight and Friday–Saturday from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m.
