Local podcast focuses on enhancing Black wealth

The new “Black Currency Podcast” was created to help build Black wealth by educating listeners on a variety of topics and keeping the conversation authentic, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. The show aims to help listeners sort through what’s true and false without shame and be empowered when it comes to their finances. The podcast can be streamed on Apple, Google, Spotify, and Audible. To date, six episodes of the podcast have been recorded discussing predatory lending, stocks, money management, real estate, and retirement planning. The podcast’s hosts include: Corey Whitmore, manager at WWMV-LP 95.5 FM and founder of Media 22; Opal Ellyse, director of multicultural business strategy at CUNA Mutual Group; and Bradley Thomas, Promega marketing strategist.
