Local developers merge proposals

Welton Enterprises and a Hovde Properties/SSM Health team have decided to merge their proposals to redevelop the former Truman Olson United States Army Reserve Center property at 1402 S. Park St. in Madison.

The benefit of doing so, according to an article in The Capital Times, is being able to develop not only the 3.5-acre property currently owned by the city, but also nearby properties owned by both groups resulting in a more beneficial master plan for the area.

The companies have asked the city to delay proceedings while details are worked out.
