Local affordable housing projects get boost

Madison’s Affordable Housing Development Fund is pumping $2 million into several area affordable housing projects, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.

Gorman & Co. received $525,000 toward the GrandFamily project at Union Corners, while Dane County Housing Authority will get $450,000 to acquire a 20-unit building Belleville, and $282,915 to purchase a 20-unit building in Mazomanie.

Also nabbing funds are MSP Real Estate, which will receive $342,000 for a 57-unit senior housing rental housing project in Madison; Retirement Housing Foundation, which will get $250,000 for a 60-unit building in Fitchburg; and Movin’ Out, which will receive $149,865 for a 59-unit multifamily affordable housing project in Stoughton.
