Little John’s suspending operations

Citing difficult finding a new location as well as rising food and labor costs, David Heide, owner and chef of Little John’s, a nonprofit food organization, announced Monday plans to temporarily suspend the majority of the organization’s operations, according to a report from Channel3000.

Little John’s operates with a pay-what-you-can model to make quality meals more affordable for those in need.

“We sincerely apologize and acknowledge this decision will impact our dedicated staff and valued families who rely on us for meals and comfort. We will continue to serve the community as best we can,” Heide said in a statement. “We appreciate your patience during this difficult time.”

Heide added Little John’s will return once the restaurant gets funding and finds a new space for its operations.
