Little Big Town to be AmFam 2020 headliner
Riding high after announcing that its 2019 American Family Insurance Championship golf weekend raised a record $2.4 million for charities, American Family Insurance isn’t skipping a beat.
The company just announced that Grammy, ACM, CMA, and AMA award-winning group Little Big Town will headline at Breese Stevens Field on Friday, June 5, to kick off weekend play of the PGA Tour Champions American Family Insurance Championship at University Ridge Golf Course.
Tickets go on sale Nov. 26, with opening acts being announced later.
“The Friday evening concert has become a popular start to tournament weekend, provid[ing] music and golf fans alike a fantastic, high-energy show, and build[ing] awareness of the American Family Insurance Championship,” said Nate Pokrass, tournament director, in a release. “We’re looking forward to welcoming Little Big Town to Madison and raising money to support American Family Children’s Hospital and many other local charities.”
Proceeds from the concert and championship are donated to the Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation for distribution to American Family Children’s Hospital and other charities impacting families and children.
Since launching the annual event together with Wisconsin native and PGA pro golfer Steve Stricker in 2016, American Family Insurance has raised more than $7.1 million for distribution to 280 charitable organizations.
