Lawsuit against gathering restrictions rejected, refiled
A lawsuit fighting Dane County’s indoor gathering limits filed by Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty — a law firm representing conservative interests — has been rejected by the Wisconsin Supreme Court, according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal.
The firm has refiled its case in the Dane County Circuit Court. The court’s majority opinion stated the action needed to first be filed in the lower court. The lawsuit is attempting to overturn restrictions on private indoor gatherings, including sports activities and other measures put in place to curb the spread of COVID-19.
