Kramer Madison woman owned … again

Kramer Madison, an 83-year-old business that started as Kramer Printing, has a new owner in Gina Weise.

Weise worked at Kramer for over 30 years and most recently served as the business’ CFO and COO. She purchased the full-service print and marketing agency from Todd and Liz Tiefenthaler, who will remain active in the business over the next year.

The acquisition brings the company’s ownership full-circle. When Mildred Gill Kramer — one of the first women to graduate from the UW–Madison School of Business — founded the company in 1936, she was a pioneer in the male-dominated industry. With the Oct. 1 sale to Gina Weise, the company is woman-owned once again.
