Kohl’s donates $3M to Children’s Wisconsin, supports new mental health walk-in clinics

Children’s Wisconsin has received a $3 million donation from Menomonee Falls-based retailer Kohl’s to support the development of three additional mental health walk-in clinic locations, according to the BizTimes. The plan is for Children’s Wisconsin to open one new clinic per year over the next three years, with the locations spread throughout the state.

The new locations will offer similar services to those provided at the Craig Yabuki Mental Health Walk-In Clinic in Wauwatosa, which is currently the only mental health walk-in clinic in the state and has supported over 1,000 children.

The new clinics will be staffed with licensed therapists and social workers and provide mental health support for children ages 5–18, addressing a statewide need for more mental health resources.
