July home and condo sales up over last year

A report from the South Central Wisconsin MLS Corp. shows sales of single-family homes in Dane County jumped 29% compared to July 2012, while condo sales increased 31%. Year to date, sales are running 28% ahead of last year.

The median sales price also increased, from $211,000 in July 2012 to $232,650 for single-family homes and from $152,308 to $158,000 for condos.

Inventory remains tight, with the supply of homes at 4.6 months and the supply of condos at 6.4 months.
